Subject: burst disc's
To: techdiver@aquanaut.com
Yet another question. I, like everyone else who dives in north-central Fl,
Pumps their steel's to 3300 to 3500 psi. Should this practice be stopped
after a certian time period, say 5 to 6 years? My burst disc's are the
originals, rated for 3000 psi. A lot of people say that the best thing to do
is; double burst both tanks to remove a potential failure point,OR plug one
tank and install a 4000psi disc in the other one OR install 4000 psi disc in
both tanks OR, do nothing. What does the WKPP or other hard-core cavers do?
thanks....Joe B
