Thanks for the massive number of responces I have received. many of you came up with great items to add to a technicaly oriented log, and I realy appreciate that. I failed to lay out the whole scheme of the logs however, and this has caused a fair amount of confusion for many of you. This is my concept of how all of the databases relate to each other. I hope this sheds a little light on why so many things that might appear as mandatory were not included in the Cave or Wreck listings. 1. Dive Log. This is the master page where all the links and jumps take place from. here we store Date/Time/Depth/Weather, etc. From here you link to the Boat Log, Buddy Log, Gear Log, Site Log, Store Log and the Training Log. 2. Boat Log This is a database of all the boats you have ever been diving on, as well as many more that we supply you with. 3. Buddy Log A detailed listing of your dive companions 4. Gear Log All equiment used on this specific dive. This links to Gear Inventory Log which contains everything you own and tracks maintanence/warrenty/etc.. and that links to the Manufacturers Log. 5. Site Log All information regarding the general location of a dive. This links to Cave, Fish, Photo and Wreck. 6. Store Log All information regarding the stores you use, as well as another 2000 international listings we have compiled. 7. Training Log Training you have recieved as a student, as well as training you are providing as an instructor. This links to Student & Staff and Course Logs. Then there are 3 seperate sections in the logs. 1. All of the DAN forms and Data-Collection sheets. 2. A Dive History log, built from all of the other informational logs. 3.
