(uh, if you've got it in JPEG or GIF, >particularly, but I'll take what I can get). PLEASE be careful if/when you attach big stuff like pictures to mail messages so that you send then ONLY to people who have specifically requested them, and not to an entire mailing list or newsgroup (unless, of course, it's a group meant for binaries and/or pictures). There are several SCUBA-related ftp sites which make for a much nicer distribution method than email (emailing a pointer to the ftp sites is fine, though). Many people these days pay for disk space, online time, and/or long distance phone calls to download news and mail. Sure, we can delete the message, but we may have already been charged for receiving, downloading, or storing it until we do. Even for people who don't pay, huge mail messages can be a big headache for those who maintain your systems. I'm just trying to prevent problems here, since some people don't realize just what happens when they send this kind of stuff out, or don't check who they're actually sending it TO -- I've seen plenty of messages on this list that look a lot like they should have been private replies. Not a big deal for a ten line message, but a multi-megabyte attachment could be a rude surprise for some of us. --tab -- Tracey Baker tab@pa*.co* "I don't think safety is the main issue here...
