Dear Manos,
Where are you?
Yes I take it apart, if I am leaving them at the shop.
Not If taking them straight home.
Then break it down.
We are talking minutes here......
I have twin 100's and twin 55's and singles.
So I swap them around regularly.
Diverite transpac and OMS harness.
For the twin bands, I use a continuous thread.
Two lock nuts on the backplate side, one on the outside of the bands to
lock them on to tanks.
Then the threads on the back plate side pass through the backplate or
harness and lock on with washer and wing nuts.
Or if a dive rite harness then use the diverite brackets and wing nuts.
When you put a staight edge across the tanks on the backplate side the top
of the bolts are about 0.5 of a cm below.
The bolts will not rub on your suit.

I dive in tropical waters alot, so I have padding over the back plate.
Twin tanks are NOT held on with cam bands.
I don't know if all the above is DIR.
The more I study DIR the more I change stuff.
The padded transpac or padded backplates are good for me because this time
of year we wear a thin suit for protection from BOX JELLY FISH , not thermal.
I did two wreck dives last weekend (20m), the water was 31 degrees C !!!
