Subject: Florida diving with usRe: BC Question - Jacket vs. Back-Buoyancy vs. Wings
As you saw, the diving we are doing is not so much the complex as the
fun - no big decos, no real logistical conserns. Volker turned me onto
diving the ledges in Palm Beach ten years ago, and it is still the best
anywhere for fast action, big Gulf Stream fish, and beautiful scenery.

With the low stress factor and no 12" dickery going on, we have a laid
back setting to shoot the breeze and have some fun. Trying different
stuff in this environment is a lot safer and easier.

I just can't deal with the "step aside for the expert" situations that
occur on the fake wrecks in Pompano, and I just won't be on hand for a
clusterfuck , which is what I expect to happen when strokes meet water.

People who are trying to learn and pick up new ideas aare never strokes.
Strokes are strokes and they don't get involved with us - it is a
violation of being a stroke.

I don't mind diving with new people - I did it yesterday and it worked
out very well. I went diving with somebody that I had gotten into it
with on here, and we had a couple of good dives, one with the scooters
and one swimimng. Interestingly, we both had our gear and regs in a pile
on the floor, and then had to examine them closely to figure out what
belonged to whom. The only way I could tell mine is that I remove the
lables from the purge buttons on the second stages, and my backplate has
my name stamped down the spine inside.
