Years ago, on the old "Batman" TV series, the Penguin's submarine was
propelled by "flippers", similar to this.  It looked really corny, though,
not nice and sleek like this submersible.  Typical of that series...
it was fun when the big pieces of the submarine hull floated on top
of the water after it was blown up!
