Subject: Re: DECOMPRESSION DONE BETTER
I'd use a 40 of 50% and a 30 of O2. Total deco for this dive is about 45
minutes to an hour. The descent shoud be in the 50 fpm range, but may
have to be faster to "hit" the target. If you have the choice, go slow.
I'd start the bottom time at depth, stop it as soon as I began
ascending, and ascend at 30 fpm, actually stopping intentionally every
ten feet to be sure to keep that ascent slow enough.

The first real stop would be at about 120 feet. although you have really
done "stops" from 180 using the 30 fpm pattern. The 120-80 are one
minute stops, then the 70 is 3 minutes, the 60 is 3, 50 is 5, 40 is 8,
30 is 13, 20 is 20, and go from 20 to 10 in 10. You can shorten this to
45 minutes by dropping it off of the ten and 20, but this is a matter of
"personal preference". I do it in the 45 , but have zip for
preconditions.

15 more minutes in the water is not that bad for most situations. In
cold water, you may be better off getting out, or jsut shortening the
bottom time .

I have done it in less than 20, but that was extenuating circumstances,
and I did not like the effect much.
