I sewed a couple 1" D-rings into the belows pocket (side of L thigh on a
TLS), at the top of the pocket against the "seam" where the pocket
expands -- one in the front of the pocket, one in the back. There's an
extra little tab of material there so the rings/sewing don't interfere
with anything, and the stitches aren't even visible from the outside.
For "thread" I used #18 braided nylon. Items that go in the pocket are
then clipped off onto the D-rings with SS bolt snaps... currently a
safety spool, P-valve plug, and some arrows and clothespins on a short
length of surgical tubing (tubing is zip-tied to a bolt snap).

Halcyon sells a bellows pocket that already has a nice 2" D-ring
stitched in.
