many of you from outside of the USA have sent us comments about the poor implementation of the metric version of Abyss. Clearly we let the metric version of Abyss take a back seat to Imperial units version. Well, we have gone through Abyss and completely re-worked the metric interface. With V1.12 we now offer Abyss in a metric mode right from the startup. All units are whole metres, and conform to more standard European metric intervals. Also, V1.12 now has full access to all 32 compartmental Halftimes (ongassing and offgassing), as well as all of the Buhlman A/B Values for Ongassing and offgassing. This raises the total number of user definable defualts to 800+. Many of you sent me messages asking us to reduce the size of our signature block, we have done so. Even more have asked for hints or more information about the upcoming announcment at TEK. I never ment this to be a teaser, though that is what it has becomeI only wanted to invite you to come to TEK, and give you something special to look forward to. We are going to announce the availabilty of some new technology that has never been available directly to the technical dive community as a whole before. This new technology could have a fairly big impact on the way we plan our dives.
