Greetings, Michael. Your clever banter and sardonic witticisms I'm sure are merely the beginning of the wealth of intellect you're about to bring to the list. I look forward to your detailed presentation of the rationale behind the various non-DIR "systems" divers should be encouraged not only to tolerate, but embrace. I quiver in anticipation of your mastery. Plook me now you savage rascal... Dude, this is so simple... if you can explain why another approach is superior than DIR, please do so. Alternately, if you can explain the efficacy of selecting an inferior system, please do so. If not, exactly what is your point? Thus far, the leading arguments against DIR include: - what if the long hose chokes me? - it's no big deal - you don't have the right to tell me what to do - it hasn't killed me yet - those darn light heads keep wrapping around the ladder and hanging me like an overstuffed pinata - george says naughty words I really would enjoy hearing a more intelligent argument for all the other "systems". If you're the guy who can do so, go for it... - Todd -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
