Oh, please... this ranks right up there with the desperate nonsense about being "choked" by the long hose, and that's pretty damn rank. When you're not using your light, which is the case when climbing the ladder, you stow it by clipping the light head off on the right chest D-ring, then tucking the cord under the long hose and waist strap. The only way to hang yourself by your gear is to be in a complete cluster, which is both foolish and unnecessary. As for "bolting the cannister to your ass"... While that may be very entertaining, that's not how it's done. It's on the waist strap, out of the way, and easy to remove in the rare case where there's a need to do so (e.g. when keyed exiting a restriction). Dave, no matter how much self-inflicted absurdity you've survived, your methods simply cannot withstand the light of reason.
