<< Hank,

Stop tip toeing around the subject. What exactly are
you trying to say? I thought Sean was pretty clear
that for any given mission it is best to use the
safest method possible. That's how I interpret the
 post.
of course you do!

What type are mission are you referring too?
If you have some other point to make then make it.
What type of mission are you talking about? What
 configuration are you talking about?

i was not talking of any mission - i'll say it again re read sean post , i
think you
will see he was the one refering to a "mission". one that he deemed worth
taking more of a risk than usual in diving.

Where is it that you believe DIR is not appropriate
other than perhaps the specific mission mentioned by
 Sean?

did i say that? i think you are the one trying to put words in my mouth
-sorry but
i was quetioning something entirely different. i'll let you re read things &
see if you can figure it out.

Why would you possible choose a riskier gear
 configuration?

hey matt you are almost there except you are asking me the same question i
asked sean. i also went one step further since not only does sean make that
choice he also tells others who make similar choices (but with different
conclusions) that there choice is not the correct choice.

 Mat.
