Kitters and Unkitters,
   Having gone up ladders with fins on/off, on my knees (once) to the crotch 
level of a crusty and lascivious charter captain ........I think there is a 
practical, albeit expensive solution to getting back on a boat. If you go to 
Deep Blue's web site 
( http://www.deepblu.co.uk) and to their picture gallery you'll see a boat 
called Skin Deep which has an intelligent solution: A mechanical lift.  Don't 
know about you, but I think it's the smartest and safest way for a fully 
dressed techie to get out of the water without getting a massive hernia.
