A moderate wind can grab the boat and spin it perpendicular to the current, but the granny line will be headed off in the opposite direction with the current. By the time you have situated yourself and got your fins on, you are now 100 or so ft from the boat, in a current that you cannot possibly swim against to get back. Plan on leaving a substantial tip when Maggie has swim out to rescue you. Kevin -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
