Subject: Bends from azototelia; fishermen

(1) Not primarily re diving, but it is related to decompression: Man and many
animals get rid of waste amino nitrogen (from breakdown of protein etc)
mostly as urea (H2N-CO-NH2); this is called ureatelia. If instead Man was
azototelic, and got rid of waste dietary amino nitrogen as nitrogen gas, this
would let waste amino nitrogen (-NH2) be a source rather than a consumer of
energy and water; but at modern Man's usual dietary protein intake would this
constant generation of nitrogen in the body cause bends even without diving?

(2) Off the USA coast where there is much commercial lobster fishing (e.g.
Maine), are there any parts where sport scuba diving can be hazardous because
of hostile actions by shellfish fishermen alleging that sport divers take
shellfish? What sort of (legal or illegal) tactics or weapons get used against
scuba divers there?
