Dave-

OK so you actually are a russian jet instructor, that still does not make
you a dive god no matter how many trillions of dives you may have. I have to
call you on the "ignore the 20 other guys" bit down below because I would
imagine that for the price of a few mins of afterburner you and a select
group of friends could charter the whole boat and do it right.

From my perspective you are a classic stuck-in-your-ways old-timey diver who
has a certain way of diving, has somehow survived it up to this point and
changing now would probably kill you.

But this does not make your ponderous technique and old-fashioned gear
config the best way to do it. The new guys out there need to be trained in
the techniques which have formulated over the past 5-10 years in particular.

New techdivers need to be kept as far as possible from the stuff you are
putting out below so they can survive by their skills, not out of some sort
of innate survival instinct, which you no doubt possess.

P.S. You don't really clean out the head, do you?
