Scopolamine patches are back on the market, and I see them used often. I would not go so far to say that they should not be used by technical divers. They can cause pupillary dilation, especially if you touch your eye after handling them, and they can cause drowsiness plus some other peculiar central nervous system side effects. Better alternatives? I often get a kick out of this debate: Bonine is better than Triptone is better than Dramamine, etc. Some people tell me the sea bands (acupressure at the wrist) work well, as does ginger for breakfast, and so on.
