Is it not so that if IANTD/TDI or whoever in the _course program_ states something, you are obliged to follow it? If you do are not you are violating standards. So if the course program prescribes substandard procedures/knowledge, the instructor can: 1) Do as (s)he likes with risk of repercussions from the agency (as if THAT would happen, but anyway...) 2) Follow the - often shitty - standards (and contribute to the death toll) 3) Find another training agency.
