I have read several post lately that quickly label someone, because of a perceived use of deep air. I understand the concerns and obvious problems associated with DEEP air. But, how does someone become Trimix certified without passing through Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, and what ever other prerequisites are required by your certification agency of choice. Most of these courses require you achieve some minimum number of deep dives before you can progress to the next course. (quite often too few IMHO). There seems to be an assumption that everyone should instantly achieve a level of proficiency that many of you have spent years to obtain. I point this out only because I don't want to see students insulted, when they are most probably joined this list to learn. These insults could discourage them from reading this list, and learning from the wealth of knowledge that is available here. If a person CHOOSES to dive DEEP air, when an better alternative is available to them, FLAME ON!! Are there agencies that bypass these steps, and go directly into Trimix? -- Craig -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
