Hi ... I use 7mm mitts all the time ... Re: "Configuring the SPG at the inflator buttons" What is the nature of the problem handling the SPG with thick gloves ... I have been diving with the SPG on the left hip for 20 years ... If its positioned correctly all I have to do is look down to read it ... In answer to your question ... Yes I have tried the configuration you mention ... I seem to recall I had 2 major problems that led me personally to reject that type of placement ... The SPG HP hose is stiff when pressurized ... If it is bundled with the Inflator hose 1) My shoulder mobility was compromised 2) It was much more difficult to breathe from the inflator in an emergency besause of stiffness and clutter As an aside ... if you are having difficulty manipulating equipment with thick gloves/mitts ... I have found that N1S (smooth skin inside) seems to help ... All the Best ... Marty H Canada -----End This Message----- -----Original Message----- From: Kevin E. Configuring the SPG at the inflator buttons (I have seen this done) seems to make SPG very accessible for those of us with thick gloves. One drawback may be the weight of the SPG causing the LP inflator to hang. Another drawback may be your choice of SPG which may be too large and therefore cover the inflator causing difficulties with inflation or deflation. ===== Kevin E.
