Going inside down tight corridors with wires and crap all over the place?
I've tried it and it's a tangle point. Typically leave the O2 at the anchor
line and pick it up before I come back. For the deeper wrecks and Trimix
I'll usually carry all my deco gas or like you drop the O2. If I'm not
planning to go inside a wreck or under hull plates then I'll carry it. Very
difficult to dig with a scooter under a hull plate with a deco bottle
rigged. It's just cumbersome. If you can't make it back to the line then
you execute your deco plan you should have for the loss of your deco gas.
Not finding it or finding it and having the O-Ring blow are the same thing.
You've got to execute your fallout plan.

Art.

Yes, I carry it all, but sometimes I leave the oxygen on the
boat and
get the crew to bring it to me, since I do not need that to
deco out,
and frequently avoid it altogether if I can . Evwn then I
only use a 30
cu foot bottle of oxygen, so carrying it is no big deal
unless I have
two other deco gases already, but generally I do not, I only
use the
50/50 and the bottom gas unless we are beyond 300 feet.
