So, should one assume that DIR practices are exclusively directed to cave
divers under conditions and at depths similar to those encountered by the
WKPP, and not to divers in general? Until now, I was more of the opinion
that DIR was a philosophy emphasizing the confluence of the best gear
configuration with the best equipment and divers in the best possible
health (which would be applicable to any type of diving) and less of the
opinion that DIR is a set of rules applicable to a limited set of dive
conditions.

BTW, Mr. Irvine, I have nothing to teach, no fully formed opinion on DIR,
and my questions aren't rhetorical. Nonetheless, if forced to give an
opinion on the didactic style you use in explaining DIR, I'd have to say
that it doesn't reach the excellence of your diving track record.
