I have the same problem and my feet are not nearly that big. 2 solutions, one is to lubricate the fin before putting it on. I have a squirt bottle of soapy water I use on my neoprene wrist seals to ease getting the suit on and off. I just squirt some soapy solution into the fin before putting it on. I'm told that Armor All works well too but I don't want to have to bring 2 bottles with me. The second and probably the best solution is to get a pair of turtle fins. They are exactly the same as Jet Fins except they have a bigger foot pocket. Hope this helps, Art. -----Original Message----- From: Nick Radov [mailto:nradov@ax*.co*] Sent: Monday, August 16, 1999 2:14 PM To: techdiver@aquanaut.com Subject: Jet fins with DUI drysuit Based on the recommendations in the DIR tapes I bought a set of Scubapro jet fins (XL size). Those worked great while I was still using a wet suit. Now I just recently started using a custom DUI TLS350 drysuit and I'm having trouble getting the fins to fit. My drysuit has the standard booties, not rock boots. It seems like the rubber soles on the bottom are just a little too wide to fit into the fin pockets. I can force them in part of the way but they aren't really secure. Is there some special trick to this, or are my feet (size 11 1/2) just too big? I'm considering slicing open the sides of the fin pockets to make them larger and then attaching some extra straps to hold them together, but that would probably end up as a huge mess. ---- Nick Radov <nradov@ax*.co*> -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
