OK Mr. Irvine. So explain to me. Why would I want to signal the boat from underwater? If I'm on an ocean dive, have lost my bottom timer and gotten separated do I need to worry about signaling the boat? Or spending the minute looking for my buddy and then as taught, ascending to the surface? Now, keep in mind too that this is just plain ocean wreck diving. So, going back to my question, when I have vis of 15' - 20' and I'm on the bottom at 110' why would I want to signal the boat? You may really have some good input / information about this. It may be something I need to know and practice but the message is lost in the invective. Oh and just so you know (though I'm sure you really don't care) I have never left a buddy and I have used my light for signaling underwater many times. Just never to the out of sight boat. So don't even try to lump me in with people you accuse of displaying this behavior / lack of knowledge. Maybe if you were a little less arrogant and wrote with a bit less anger you would impart your information with more clarity and would not have to stoop to name calling to boost your self-esteem. Really, I've got 6th graders in my D.A.R.E. classes that act more mature.
