You don't have to scroll down for my reply:

If you don't like what/how/when or whatever George or anyone else on this
list posts...then hit NEXT.

The funniest thing is that the folks who are the most in need of what is
presented on theses lists...probably are the ones hitting NEXT, because they
are too proud or stubborn to read what comes from the "best of the best".
If you or anyone else can dispute that the folks of the WKPP do on a regular
basis is some of the toughest diving in the world...dives that would scare
the shit out of 99% of the diving public...then do so. Nobody is forcing
you to read about, adopt or dive DIR.

Those of us who have taken the philosophy to heart, realize what those who
have not done so...it is a MUCH better way of diving. And the facts
represent themselves...the deaths that have been occurring on the Doria and
elsewhere could have been prevented with proper equipment, training and
adherence to tenets of the DIR philosophy about buddies and fitness. I'm
sure the families of the dead divers would not want to know that there was a
better/safer way for their deceased to have been diving!

So call me stupid if you want...I'm not. My reading comprehension is at a
level that I can take what I need to be a safer, better diver from what is
presented on theses lists. I do this for a living, so any edge I get is a
great step towards making it to a long retirement. If you don't want to
read Georges replies, whether they be abrasive or abusive...then go to
Rec.Scuba...I'm sure there is a raging debate over Mail Order vs. your local
dive shop there.
