I have used Apeks TX40's since they started making them. Actually it was just the T40 then (they added the 'X' when tech diving got popular). My original T40 has had the crap knocked out of it, has had everything from welding argon to medical O2 through it, has never been serviced and it still works as well as the day I got it. All my other TX40's have had similar mistreatment (although I do keep up maintenance on them) and have never let me down. I went through a stage of using Poseidons because that's what everyone else was using but they farted and spat and puked and did everything but give me air. I got told that I had to learn how to breathe from them properly -- I thought you could just put it in your mouth and breathe without having to learn how to do it!!! I did persevere and got used to them but I can't help thinking what would happen if I had to hand one off to an out of air diver. They are also bank-breaking to service every year especially if you are into trimix or stage diving and have four or five of them.
