Capt Richie, What I am looking into at this time is possibly two deaths in the Straights over the past two or three weekends, possibly one death in Lake Superior this last week (all three of these MAY be variations on the same death) and a quarry death in Ohio. I also know (I preformed the rescue) of one other incident in Ohio this past weekend. It seems to me that poor training and lack of experience is going to take its toll again this year. I'll continue to look into these deaths and any others in the area and report on the causes to the best of my ability to determine the facts. If anyone has any information that may be useful in determining the facts please forward them to me. I will respect all requests for confidentiality.
