The only way distance may relate to adiabatic compression is how you run the oxygen line. The main things to avoid are quarter-turn valves and "interesting" turns and couplings. It may TEND to be less cleanly configured the longer the line gets since one may TEND to run the line into a lot of nooks and crannies, as well as piecing together several lengths and get too many couplings. Just avoid all that! Adiabatic compression occurs when you stop a flow of gas instantly, most easily accomplished with a quarter-turn valve. These valves are responsible for most oxygen flashes in poorly designed systems. regards, Hans -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
