I'm seriously considering a cannister light and will carry it according to the Hogarthian standard. However, it would seem intuitive to put the Goodman handle on top of the right hand, to avoid a lead crossing over to the opposite side. I see most pictures portraying divers with left hand lights. Why? I should probably add, I'm left-handed and pretty insensitive to which hand is the "correct" one for anything but writing. I can use either hand without really having to consider which one is "good" and which one is "bad". Should I still cross the lead over my chest and use the left hand for carrying the light head? If I use the right one the lead could run along (or even twist around) my right arm with little slack to snag on anything. regards, Hans -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
