5ft is fine for ocean diving, wreck and cave dictate 7ft (2.10m approx.)
The extra length can be tucked away in your waist belt. The make is not
that important. I use Scubapro and Halcyon hoses, both are fine.

Why not use your R190 in combination with a MK20??? (since you have one)

Depends on your dive. For no-deco, regular single tank diving there is no
need for redundant first stages. One is sufficient.
