I don't know if it was the original airing, but did anyone see the Dateline article on the Doria last week? I got the distinct impression that the producers had the intention of making diving in general out to be terribly dangerous. Perhaps that's why all the footage of Billy Deans and his team in Key West was cut out of the final article. They filmed close to 100 minutes of footage, including an interview with Billy which stressed the need for quality training and, more importantly, a great deal of personal diving experience before tackling dives like the Doria, Wilkes-Barre, etc...
