Al,

Yes this works when the best way to nab the lobster is with your right arm.
When the critter is wrenched in a hole along the side of a rib to your left,
the best option would be to shoot with the left arm. I wear a wrist "bottom
timer" on my left arm and quite a few times I have missed the lobster cause
I had to use my left hand and got hung up, got bit a few times too.... I
think what's evolving out of this thread s that DIR is probably the best
method for most diving. In some situations as illustrated by quite a few
people, the exact DIR configuration may not be the best option.

Art.
Oh my God I have blasphemed!

Last time I posted one guy wrote me back, saying he only has
one arm. He might
have a problem lobstering DIR. The rest of us, with two
wrists, dont have a
		problem.

You just keep one arm free for lobster, and one for the
stuff.

I dont eat lobster, thus I dont take em, but while we are on
the subject NYS now
has some kind of program where the commercial guys have to
notch their shorts,
so make a note and give the little guys a break.
