Since I started talking about using a drysuit in warm Caribbean water I get the feeling that some people understood that I think a drysuit is a absolute "must have" in a DIR configuration, even in warm water... This is not the case. I was just pointing out why I like the drysuit for some dives. What it comes down to is: Wetsuit/aluminium doubles, drysuit/steel doubles. Since I have 80's alu and 98's steel, I use the 98's for longer and deeper mix dives. Before I used the drysuit in warm water I could never imagine that it would be so comfortable. Ever since I found out, I prefer to use the drysuit over the wetsuit. That is something I found. I would recommend others to do it, but never insist on it. The suits are indeed damn expensive.
