O.K., I admit it. I dive northeast (USA) shipwrecks with a set of OMS 95# bungee wings. They seen to fit tight against my tanks and I have not gotten hung up in any tight penetrations like U-853 or the San Diego. I like the feature of auto deflation that the bungees seem to be performing. I will say this though. I still felt too buoyant on my last two deco stops and have put on a total of 22 lb. of lead to over come this. I have heard from divers (that I respect) that these wings actually trap some air. And are impossible to orally inflate at depth. I was going to try it last weekend at 110 fsw, but I forgot. (narked?) Anyway, do you folks have any real data to support your disdain for this type of BCD? I came by them when I replaced my Zeagle Ranger in favor of a SS back plate and harness. I'm also using L.P. 85's, with manifold of course, and a neoprene dry suit. Nobody has called me a stroke to my face, but I have a thick skin and can handle it. I'm just looking for info. here.
