I have a MANTA reel. It works fine but its construction is such that if I do screw up the line on the reel, I don't think I could take it apart, untangled it and put it back together. Its tension control does minimize the tangling but if it happens, I'd have a mess. With less than 60 cave/cavern dives, I asked a friend who is a very experienced long time cave diver/instructor with NACD and he wasn't impressed. He thought I'd be better off with the usual Dive Rite reel. KISS (keep it simple stupid). -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
