I carry a simple homemade aluminum spool with about 150 ft. of wreck line
(1/8" white, braided nylon). I carry it behind me on my crotch strap, pushed
back behind my butt, along with a lift bag that is rolled up and strapped to
a home-made, breach-cloth type flap that hangs off the bottom of my S.S.
backplate. To deploy, I reach between my legs and grab it. Works well for
me.
