Bad phrasing, perhaps. What I meant was, does the DIN institute from which
the valve derived its name still exist, and still issue norms, or has it,
with Europification, been superceded by some Euro organization? The DIN, as
best as I ever understood it, was the German standards institute, that more
or less became the de facto Euro standards institute just because the
Germans had a knack for that kind of thing.
