I presently dive with a Orca Phoenix and a Casio G-Shock for a back up
timer.  I copy my tables for accelerated deco out of the back of the
IANTD tech. encyclopedia onto my slates.  I look around the boat and see
all these computers everywhere. I figured I must be missing some point
or something. That's what prompted the question regarding the Abyss
Explorer.  Dollar for dollar it seems like a good value.  But since my
dollars are limited I think I'm going to do this.
Buy a digital depth gauge and bottom timer to back-up my Orca Phoenix
bend-o-matic and just keep planning my dives long hand and carry tables.

I can't stop think though ,how cool all those computers look.  They must
be worth while if all you people got 'em.
