Hi folks, I describe myself as a northeast wreck diver. I dive off of charter boats that sail out of CT, RI, NY and NJ. I went as far as Rescue diver then decided to spend my money on a dry suit, L.P. steel tanks with manifold, harness and wings. I now train through IANTD and have learned how to use the gases that take me to the wrecks that I read about. After having studied up on a shipwreck and after exploring it I feel I too have become part of it's history. I also feel that I am entitled to rescue and preserve artifacts from the ravages of the open ocean. I have visited the war graves of a foreign navy but never intentionally disturbed the remains of the crews. I dive deep, stay no longer than planned and practice accelerated decompression. If this makes me a technical diver then so be it. It just seems to me that the trips and gear with that label on them are costing more than they should. IMHO. Dive safe!
