Hi, I am new to this list and thought I would follow the instruction to introduce myself. I have posted once to this list in order to berate an Aspirin gobbling idiot who makes a nuisance of himself regularly on the www.divernet.co.uk tech forum. Apologies for this. I am a BSAC Dive Leader and PADI Divemaster with only around 200 dives behind me. I am very interested in diving some of the U-Boats sunk in British waters during WWII after having dived some of the shallower (up to 35 MSW) examples and after having read about their exploits during this conflict. I am currently trying to upgrade my diving in line with the DIR principles. The last piece in his jigsaw is to replace my Dive-Rite Transpac with an SS backplate and a different wing. I now wish to dive some of the deeper wrecks in British and French waters and am seeking the advice of this group on how to procede with training and equipment. I apologise for the length of this post and the use of bandwidth but hope that some of you can help guide me in the next stage of my diving education.
