Yes, I've seen it and it would seem from an earlier post that AP valves have
brought out an equivalent or better version.

Ah, this "dart" must be my needle point expertise coming to the fore :-)

Cut one of the vertical seams top to bottom of a rectangular pouch. Pull
the two sides of the cut seam apart (20-30mm) at the top. This makes the
"V" as the bottom of the sides are remain stitched from the original
stitching. Insert some material (I used webbing) into this V-gap and stitch
this in place. This makes for a tight fit for the DSMB when it is pushed
right in, it gripping at the bottom and but loose at the top. (i.e. a small
diameter pouch at the bottom but wider at the top.) The Velcro flap of the
pouch ensures it will not fall out.

The pouch is in front of the canister for easy access and because it is
smaller thus creating less drag and snag.

Den 14:15 04-05-99 fik jeg en mail fra dig som indeholdt praecis . . .
This pouch will restrict the DSMBs inflation should it occur by accident
and will also prevent it flapping in the breeze as John mentions can be the
case were you to butt mount it for example. The main disadvantage with
self inflate DSMBs are their bulk, apart from that they are a joy to
deploy.

- David, have you seen the JD Automark DSMB? It's cylindrical in shape
(over 1 metre tall) and it does not have the problems of coming undone.
Perhaps you want to check this one out? It _is_ somewhat bulkier than the
non-integrated units but mounted on the butt D-ring it represents no drag
whatsoever.

- I don't get the bit with the 'dart': what is that? Can you be more
specific? Is the pouch in front of the cannister or behind?

Hilsen (Rgds.),
