I don't have an answer to this yet, but I am researching it. I'm sure the list
will come up with the right answers too. I just moved to a new area, and this
past weekend a local dive shop with a big electric IANTD sign refused to fill
my doubles with 30% from a bank because they were missing at least 4 stickers.
He wanted lots of money to take my rig apart and inspect it, and more money if
the tanks needed to be cleaned. I worked for many years as an engineer in the
field of instrumentation, and have cleaned thousands of thermowells for O2
service. My tanks are clean, the valves are all made of the right stuff, I have
a valid VIP and hydro. I politely told the guy "no thanks", and made other
arrangements. This guy started spouting rules and government agencies I've
never heard of, and also mentioned OSHA. I'd hate to see what this guy would
say if he saw my simply marked deco bottles. I know how to get my bottles
filled, but haven't tried to get my own tanks filled far from home, where no
one knows me. Do I need to keep a supply of stickers for travelling?
