I'll move into the pro-IWR corner with Rich. One question, though, for Rich in particular: given that you have all the necessary tools (thermal protection, gas supplies, maybe a full face mask, good environment, safety divers, surface support, hang lines to control depth, whatever you feel is necessary to balance the risk and benefits) would you use a deep air spike? Do you feel that you basically have to, when you don't have O2 along? what about a deep air spike before the O2 sequence? as I understand it, the deep spike is falling into disfavor, but that might only be when there is O2 available. If I recall correctly from AquaCorp, most chambers only go deep for AGE, I believe to 160 feet (table 6a?) and for simpler DCI go only to 60 feet (table 6?), maybe on EAN50? #----------------------------------------------------# Roger Carlson H 310-frogger Somewhere off Hermosa Beach, CA W 310-813-0858 Roger_Carlson@at*.sp*.tr*.co* F 310-812-1363 #----------------------------------------------------#
