Al, Good to hear from you again, where have you been? I can confirm what John is talking about. We had a bad tradegy out here a couple years back from a guy who thought he was a tech diver. I don't want to trample on his grave, but the reality of the situation is that So. Cal is very resistent to change, hence the slow tech diving movement out here, and that double fatality really set us back. Every time I see someone out here attempting to be a tech diver, I ask a few questions. Sadly, many believe that a set of doubles and/or exceeding the 130'mark makes them a tech diver. Fortunately, Helium is becoming more available and tech ( real ) tech training is more readliy available. I would like to see deep air divers on other boats but it really doesn't matter who's boat they are on, if we have another mishap that the recreational community can put on the tech divers they will do so with a vengence. Anything to protect there turf. Regards -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
