Never used a separate bottle, but I am thinking about a bottle of Argon
for this seasons winter diving in Stoney Cove ... (A UK inland
freshwater ex-quarry for those who don't know it) I guess that a 2
litre lightweight steel, 232 bar pony bottle would be about right? The
only problem is that of getting it filled!

I beleive that BOC supply the large cylinders for about 44 quid, but I
don't know what the deposit is on the bottle, also - it's only
pressurised to just over 200 bar. (They look like thay might be about
25 litre capacity, I don't know for sure) I'd probably need to keep at
least 2 to keep up a reasonable pressure in the pony cylinder. (Filling
the pony from the lowest pressure cylinder, then topping it up from the
higher pressure cylinder)

Anyone with experience or more info on getting Argon in the UK?

Gordon
