Yes, "The Abyss" is on laserdisc. Get the "Directors Cut" edition. It has 
scenes that were cut to shorten the theatrical release that make they story 
much better.

It also has "The Making of The Abyss", a documentary of the making of the film, 
which is VERY interesting (more so than the movie).
