Brian-

U/W reg switching isn't just part of the DIR philosophy. It's part of
the philosophy of any technical diver who's had any real world
experience. Billy Deans once told me, "Any amount of any gas is far more
breathable than water!"

Your dive shop monkies who say the filter will be clogged are obviously
just theorizing, and have had ZERO repair, rebuild, or stage
decompression diving experience.

I've found that yoke regs are easier to change u/w due to the large
knob. But DIN interfaces provide a more secure connection that is far
more streamlined. Also, with a yoke, you're more likely to lose the tank
valve o-ring, thereby making it quite hard to use the cylinder itself.
At least w/ a DIN, I can lose the reg, and switch to another and
preserve the gas.

That's my two bits worth, anyway!
