Subject: RE: subtle Narcosis
Despite all the fun this post generated there may be something to it.
However, it's not residual narcosis -- it's post-dive fatigue. It may be
due to "silent" bubbles turning a little noisy or it may be due to
equalization problems. Watch your profiles and do your safety stops. It's
well known that bubbles don't observe supersaturation thresholds as "bible
truth" -- there are potential bubble problems long before you develop
full-fledged DCS. Deep air diving with air decos is a well known
combination causing post-dive fatigue. Many divers have experienced nitrox
dives to be a better choice and deep trimix with more productive deco gases
causes little post-dive fatigue as well. All in all, I assume you have a
"silent" bubble problem and ought to bring less inert gas with you to the
surface.

regards,

Hans
