What is a DIR course and who is giving it? Specifics please. I guess that your dive buddies need a leader or atleast a good example, are you up for it? Use the proper gas for the dive. If you have a question post it-delete the useles and ponder the critical. Toss in 55 or 60 bar of helium on the next dive you do to 40 meters, print up some tables from a pc and dive a no deco limit-you tell me if there is a difference in the dive. Make sure it is some place you have dived a shitload of times. Pissed on? You made a statement, I pissed on the statement, if some got on your shoes I'm sorry_EZ >When I say working towards I mean I am putting together the right kit just >taken delivery of halcyon 55IB wings) and Im planning on doing a DIR course >in the UK. > >I never said nitrox was "the answer" in fact what I actually said was "Were >the discussion or arguments should centre are on the divers who dismiss >alternative gas mixtures including Nitrox for dives in the 20/30/40/50/60+ >metre ranges." note the word "including" it is quite important. My angle on >this is that 90% + of club divers wont even consider nitrox, trimix to them >is purely a commercial diving thing and anyway I doubt anyone is going to do >40 metre dives on trimix? > >If people like me with a real interest in personal improvement get pissed on >like this then you never going to convince the other 90% > >> -----Original Message----- >> From: H20Caver [mailto:ezimmerm@ch*.ca*.us*.ed*] >> Sent: Thursday, February 25, 1999 8:08 PM >> To: vpg@li*.ne* >> Cc: Tech Diver List >> Subject: Re: Rob Palmers death >> >> >> First, you don't know what you are going to die from (or do you?). >> Second, you say "working towards".
