Went diving the other day at a local training site, the day started out normal until we saw THEM. Our states Technical centre of excellence (their words in one of their adds) were conducting training in doubles/stages. The 3 students had sherwood recreational BCD's with the webbing band removed and twin cylinder bands attatched through the moulded backpack. For their stage bottle they had a d-ring sewn on to the BCD at the base of the left shoulder strap (through the BCD not the strap) with the hip d-ring on the weight belt (webbing through the first hole in the weight then through the d-ring and then through the other hole in the weight. The worst thing was their idea of a manifold for their doubles. This consisted of a special LP hose going from an LP port on one reg to an LP port on the other reg. The stage bottles were rigged as per WKPP style except for the galvanised bolt snaps (cheaper than stainless steel). I don't know about you guys but dammed if that wasn't the worse I've seen.
